Today is nuit blanche an all night free art festival which runs through the heart on of Paris. With art installations inside buildings and outside on the street.

This year's nuit blanche follows the Metro line 14 from Batignoles in the north of Paris through the centre of town to the new station at Les Olympiades in the south.

There'll be buckets full of art to enjoy from both emerging and established artists. For more details see the website

Hi Gideon.

I couldn't find an e-mail for you, so I'm commenting.

I'm a Paris blogger (http://pamela.poole.free.fr/frogblog). I was at the bloggers' picnic in June.

I wanted to let you know I've launched a social network for Francophiles at www.francophilia.com. We've been up for about a week. We have 64 members, including the Deputy Director of the Alliance in DC and a HuffPo blogger (Francophilia nickname "MrPickwick"). So far members are 18-77 and from at least 10 different countries. We have lots of members who are Francophile bloggers. Members can put links to their sites/blogs in their profiles. (I added that, having blogger priorities!).

We're still in beta testing, but I would appreciate your help in getting the word out. If you link to us or blog us, I'll put you on our Links page. Please pass the word to Francophile friends and I'd love it if you'd join too, of course!

Thanks for your help and let me know if you have any questions.
